Apple Patches 17 OS X Security Flaws

Late last night, Apple released a patch that fixed at least 17 different security holes in it's Leopard operating system. One of the most anticipated fixes is the DNS vulnerability fix that similarly affected vendors fixed in their products nearly 3 weeks ago.

Security Update 2008-005 patches a serious flaw that allowed hackers to redirect surfers to counterfeit web sites.

Updates are available for Mac OS X 10.4.11 and 10.5.4.
