Apple Event may feature Wi-Fi iPods?

An Apple Special Event is scheduled for September 6 and may feature new iPod's based on Mac OS X that may sport Wi-FI Music.

MacDailyNews and 9to5Mac both had reports that suggest new iPods may be introduced that could download music and other content over the airwaves.

So far, rumor about a Fat-iPod nano is just that, a rumor. Photos of said Fat nano were claimed as fake or a mock up on John Gruber's The Talk Show, Episode 7 which can be found here.

Paul McCartney is scheduled to perform at the event. McCartney was scheduled to perform at the iPhone event but cancelled due to scheduling conflicts with his young daughter's school.

What other goodies might Apple have for us? We'll have to wait and See.
