Great Steve Jobs Story

Jon Fortt over at Business2.0 wrote a very personal story about his "encounter" with Steve Jobs. While covering the story of Apple's first retail store, Jon got the facts wrong over the lease. Jobs emailed him and seemed quite upset.

The rest of the story is a great read, and I won't spoil it for anyone. Fortt does relate the tale to the upcoming iPhone though. An interesting story and something to ponder as we await the release of the iPhone

Check it out here.

Adobe announces Creative Suite 3 - Adobe CS3

Adobe finally announced their Creative Suite 3 otherwise known as Adobe CS3. While the entire suite won't ship right away, Photoshop CS3 will be out in April sometime.

CS3 is something we've been waiting for... waiting much too long actually. I long for the day when my Photoshop won't constantly eat my memory and not give it back... a strange problem I've been having with Photoshop CS1. Photoshop CS3 will be a Universal application so it will work on PPC AND Intel (finally!!!)

For a full overview of the Adobe Creative Suite 3 go here.

Leopard Behind Schedule? What About iLife 07?

The word on the net is that Leopard is barely beta but other reports like this one are saying that Leopard is still on target to ship in Spring of this year. Whether or not Leopard ships on time remains to be seen. The big question on our minds lately is where is iLife 07 and how does it fit into this picture?

We're pretty sure that those "secret" Leopard innovations that Mr. Steveness talked about at the keynote he gave last year will be key to some of the features in iLife 07. Just what they actually are and what they will do is a big mystery. Some speculate that it will be multi-touch for MacOS and that touch screens are coming to a desktop near you. We're on the sidelines as far as that ones concerned. However, whatever it is, we're sure we'll be amazed.
