Check out Macintouch's hack up of a MacMini with a Core2Duo processor and a SATA drive! Pretty cool warranty voiding hacks with step by step instructions on how to get things done.
They go in pretty deep and give you benchmarks and advice on what components to use to void your warranty make your mac mini scream!
They change a Core Solo to a Core2Duo and gut another mini and added an external SATA drive for real speed improvements. Not sure If I'd ever go this route but if you've tried it out let us know!
