Can your MacBook Pro Do This?
Last night we played with a MacBook over at the Apple Store and discovered something interesting: while placing two fingers on the track pad you are able to do a "right-click" by pressing the trackpad button. This is a user configurable feature that can be turned off and on. I quickly tried this on the MacBook Pro 15" but it didn't work and there was nothing to turn it on in System Preferences. Oddly enough, the Macbook Pro 17" was able to do this. Perhaps this is something just for the Apple's latest models for now? Hopefully a software update will bring this feature to the MacBook Pro 15" sometime soon. I haven't seen anyone talk about this "feature" at all!

If you install iScroll2, you gain this functionality in older portables - it's called "Two-finger click" in the preferences.

If this is a desired feature, why doesn't apple just add a right click?

I've been able to do this for ages on Linux.
I can right click by tapping the pad with 2 fingers and middle click by tapping with 3 fingers.

dt - I put where to find it in my blog post.
System Prefs > Keyboard & Mouse > Trackpad. Here is an image of the panel on my Flickr account.
